Description

Vehicles are parked on both sides of Live Oak making it barely passable for 1 vehicle. The worst part is closest to Texas where a large bus and work vehicle are parked on opposite sides of the street. You cannot see entering Live Oak from any of the surrounding parking lots or driving in off of Texas.

Large vehicles I believe belong to those staying at the LaQuinta are frequently parked on this street, resulting in traffic being blocked.

Thank you for reporting this issue. A Code/Parking Officer for this area will investigate. The Officer has to observe the violation in order to address it. The Traffic Engineer's Office sent this to Fire and PD for evaluation and discussion at the next Traffic Management Team Meeting.

At the next fire and PD management meeting they should review parking on Poplar street as well. Students park on both sides of the street during lunch and dinner times blocking driveways, mail boxes, and creating heavy dangerous traffic.

Joe Anderson - Again, YES! Thank you!! Only occasionally are the vehicles parked on the street those of the residents who live on Poplar, and that typically only happens if someone has guests because the driveways are so short. Thank you!! People do not respect the signs that say, "No Parking," nor do they care about blocking people's driveways. It's incredibly concerning for a number of reasons.
