I am not sure why the other issue that was reported was marked a duplicate of this issue and closed and placed in the archives. Clearly, these are two separate issues which are affecting 2808 and 2810 7th Avenue. The drainage and erosion issues start in the back alley of the 2800 block between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue and run through the property at 2808 and 2810 7th Avenue all the way out to the road in front of 2808 and 2810 7th Avenue. I am pasting the archived issue here: There are two major drainage and erosion issues we desperately need fixed. I will report them separately so there is no confusion.
The first one is in front of 2808 7th Avenue. The concrete pipe (tile) that the City placed in the former ditch is damaged and needs to be dug up and replaced. We have reported it numerous times due to all of the holes that continue to develop on the surface above. Please do not just fill the holes; it does no good since the fill gravel and dirt simply filters back out again. All of the topsoil is washing out of our yard and into the open drain from the back alley behind our house to the north of our property out to this drain and the open ditch to the far right of our property looking south. Please dig up this pipe and dredge out all of the dirt in the 2800 block of 7th Ave before replacing the pipe. Also – Please place the new drainage grate lower than the ground so water will flow into it and away. I severely hurt my ankle while mowing the City right-of-way by accidently stepping into a hole in the ground. I have not been mobile all week and am now afraid to mow the grass in the right-of-way. Update -- The work crews are out here now. I was able to talk with Jeff, Steve, Hank and several other fellows, they were very nice and are working on the issues now. Thanks!!! The erosion issue has been very frustrating. My family have been reporting the problem with the back alley and begging for help for over 40 years now. Maybe they can extend and deepen the ditch and grade it so that it actually drains to the storm water drain on 3rd Street so it will stop all of the erosion...I hope so anyway! They are trying to figure out how to address the 7th Avenue issues too.

No need to apologize but thank you for doing so, it is a bit complicated and a big old mess. We really appreciate your help...I believe it will get fixed now and maybe we can put topsoil in our yard to replace what has been being washed away over the past several years. Have a great day!

Good afternoon MicMc, your issue has been fixed! Starting with the front of your home, PWS dug up the pipe and fixed the separation. We also poured a small flume by the inlet to better help with drainage. Next, we made repairs to the drainage behind your home by regarding the ditch and building a berm.
