the tree in front of 175 Lloyd St. still has yet to be trimmed. Why does the city of New Haven plant these trees if they have no intention on trimming them when asked to. The city fines me if I shovel the snow, what responsibility are you taking for trimming a tree I didn't ask you to plant and really do not want in front of my house. I'm the only one with this problem in that block. I do not want to have to maintenance trees I didn't ask to have put there but I would appreciate that is it trimmed when asked.

I guess this issue has not been addressed is because the department doesn't think it's worthy of them trimming the tree OR "they don't do that any more!" New Haven plant all these trees but when it come time to asking the department to trim them, and I'm specifically speaking of the one in front of my house, the department wants no part! What is so beautiful about that! There are no leaves on the branches right now but the naked branches still linger across the length of the sidewalk over to the fence of my front yard.
Thank you for your report. We have a significant backlog and it will be acknowledged when inspected by our Urban Forester. Please note, this inspection can in some instances take several months to be scheduled. Based on the determined hazard the trim or removal can take months or years thereafter.
