The traffic light at Germantown and North Wales Rd. was green for North Wales traffic to enter Germantown Pike for 15-20 seconds, at the most. The Germantown Pike signals are green for over a minute. On 10/25/2012 there was a 15 car backup waiting on North Wales. The signal would only allow 3-4 cars from North Wales to clear the intersection on a green signal. With the new lanes on Germantown, the east-west traffic cleared the intersection quickly, while the southbound North Wales traffic stacked up and could not clear. Until people started running the red light. Not good.
