Most of the trees you mention are the responsibility of the abutting property owner or their HOA, After we check we will ask Code enforcement to speak with the property owners who should maintain the trees.

I drove through the Portraits development, I will refer this entire item to Code Compliance.
The hedges surrounding the property on 108th Ave. are to be maintained by the residents or their HOA ( I do not know the relationship between homeowners and the HOA ) the hedges have been allowed to harbor vines which are growing fthrough the hedges and up the FPL streetlights, the HOA/Owners must remove them.
All of the lights within Portraits ( the ones in the yards with the fixture directly on top of the concrete pole are FPL poles with energy paid for by HOA. the trees blocking these lights are private not city.
some of them may have to be removed however a tree removal permit must be obtained from the City Planning Department prior to doing any tree removals.

Have homeowners contact the HOA and insist to get the lawn service company out here and trim the tree vines that are growing over the street lights along with the hedges that are uneven and 8 ft tall. Also are blocking sidewalks on NW 108 Ave and Johnson as tree branches and hedges are protruding outward. We need a NEW person to run the association at Portraits ASAP How can we get someone in place? Put it out to the neighbors and the so called president needs to be removed. This will help our community and get things done. Maybe Code Compliance can contact HOA directly -954-753-7966 EXT 115-property mgr. This also is a safety concerns as you cannot walk on the sidewalks due to some many branches and hedges sticking out along with very poor lighting from the street light with vines covering them. HOA needs to comply with these regulations from the city. We need help with HOA to abide with these property issues. Again our community needs to vote in someone else with these on-sight issues that care about our neighborhood. Thank you-please help us.
