Description
I live across Cottage Street from the P&M loading dock and East Rock Coffee where the various delivery trucks pull up. There is a near constant parade of trucks each morning and the each idle for up to 45 minutes while stopped making deliveries (sometimes there are multiple trucks all idling at once). The trucks are incredibly loud, not to mention the pollution they are producing during these long stops. I've called P&M and they told me that they have talked to the drivers, but that ultimately its an issue with the distributors and that the issue is out of their hands. They instructed me to contact each company directly, which I have started to do, but I believe that its illegal to idle any vehicle and it seems kind of crazy for me to be calling all of these customer service people...

Can you take some good photos of specific vehicles that are parked illegally? That is helpful.. the cops and fire dept staff used to get so angry.. haha but they did move.. the fire dept vehicles are allowed to park where the fire hydrant is.. that's their special spot.
You can also talk to your alderperson, who probably gets free coffee too.. oh, wait.. I think he was that fireman who owns that building.. You know?
