Thank you for reporting this incident to the City of St. Charles. Our Street Division has been notified about this request it has been scheduled to be reviewed. We appreciate your help in improving our City!
Our Street Division has inspected the retaining wall. The wall is believed to be on private property, but the Street Division will continue to monitor.
Thank you for your comments and concern. It is the responsibility of Public Works to monitor and address these types of concerns throughout the City. The Street Division of Public Works has continued to monitor this particular location for several years. In that time, there has been no change to the structure and/or its stability. As we indicated above, this wall is believed to be on private property, but we will continue to monitor the location. Again, thank you for your concern.
There's a lot of monitoring these days. The entire city has every other block ripped up this summer, due to poor project management, and does not have the resources.
