Once a month I clean up the small dog side of the park for a Meetup group and it gets pretty gross and really unsanitary. I typically end up with at least two plastic grocery bags full of garbage (bags, empty cans, bottles, etc...).

what? It doesn't "exclude" people, however there shouldn't be homeless folks living there. And personally I don't like the idea of people leaving trash and old furniture in inappropriate places.

It doesn't exclude people, Summer, dog owners are people and they enjoy the park. Not everyone is a dog owner, but there are plenty of public use areas that are used by all (tennis courts, golf courses, swimming pools, etc...)

Can Parks or Public Works remove any refuse that is in the park? And can the police please be vigilant about people camping out there. The park is closed after dark.

Our volunteer group left the whole park in perfect condition just 3 weeks ago. Can the City help us out now?

If anyone is observed camping out in the park, especially after closing, please call the police. It is illegal. And the park was financed by fundraising as a dog park. The other option was to leave is as a filthy, unsafe, and dangerous area for drug and alcohol use. I think most people would agree that it's better now.

Sorry. Unfortunately "other city responsibility" sometimes falls through the cracks. The Parks Department did work with LCI and PD to work to remedy this problem. If it persists, please re-post as a Parks Request.
