There a big picnic/party there this week. The least people could do is clean up after themselves and take their trash home.

Sorry but the Parks Department and Public Works are busy at the moment , in meetings with Alderpeople,City Administrators,Union - In how to dispose of nobodies who somehow acquired seasonal positions in these entities - It's a yearly agenda

Is anyone out there interested in creating a Friends of Stone Street Park (and/or Amrhyn Field) group? WVRA could then more easily coordinate and strategize with neighbors and other concerned park users and get more attention paid to what is a well-utilized, yet sadly neglected park. Such a group could coordinate seasonal clean-ups, plantings, events, etc, similar to Friends of Edgewood Park, but on a smaller scale. Having a Friends or similar type group can also make it easier to coordinate with police on crime and safety issues, with TT&P on parking issues, etc. Does not have to be its own organization, even, more like a committee, one that could partner with WVRA if grants are needed for improvements, programming, etc.

In an effort to better manage SCF issues we are closing all trash related requests over 3 months old. Trash barrels are emptied at least weekly, more often when the weather is nice. If you have new or persistent concerns please open a new issue.
