Following the provisions of Chapter 40U of the Massachusetts General Laws regarding housing code violations, the Town must notify a property owner of a violation and allow two weeks to resolve the issue. If, at the end of two weeks, the owner is still in violation, daily fines are assessed. Unpaid fines are placed as a lien on the property. Regardless of these procedures, there is no guarantee that the homeowner will comply and the Town may not enter onto private property to maintain it. This issue has been assigned to Code Enforcement for review and an update will follow shortly. Thank you for your patience.
How can this possibly be closed if its still an eyesore. Forget the cars and boats, what about the trash, construction debris, overgrown lawn? Again, this has been going on for way over a year?
I understand your frustration. This is currently under enforcement closed out on SeeClick due to an issue that may take time ( including: 40U fines, liens and or court).
Are you kidding me, closing this issue again, these issues have been under investigation for over five years now and not one piece of landscape has changed, in fact its gotten worse. Randolph must own this house by now, when are you going to clean up the yard.
Thank You always
I went to this property this morning to see if any changes were made by the person who lives there. To no avail it was not taken care of. Fines of $100.00 a day will continue to accrue until this is resolved. The Owners are out of State and non responsive therefore we have to go through all the proper channels to get this rectified since they are not the Owners. Unfortunately this process has taken much longer than anyone anticipated . We are working diligently on a resolution to resolve these issues very soon.
Kevin, I have been to this property on several occasions. Very problematic I am presently fining them daily. The Owner lives out of State and this person is a tenant of 12 years. There are several vehicles and boats parked on lawn, I believe to be unregistered. The back yard I was unable to gain access it appears to look like equipment.
Closed again. Would you be in so much of a hurry to close this issue if you lived here, I think not!!!
Lets have a bring the tenant to the town hall for a talk? Why he comes home to this is shocking me.
What do you think, Thank you, Ed?
The car and truck on the property are both registered, but I'm sure the boats are not. Unfortunately they are not on trailers and are unable to be towed. It appears that code enforcement is currently the only option. Thank you
The Code Enforcement Officer is following the law in issuing fines in an effort to have the property cleaned up. If you have any questions, or would like to discuss this issue further, please contact the Code Enforcement Officer directly at 781-961-0921.
