They said that there is a friend that has an apartment who's on section 8 that they can't be in there during inspection OK with the doggie is pretty friendly don't give me wrong very lovely baby but that doesn't explain the chair underneath the stairs waiting for the apartment by a locked gate that they can't get into sitting on the stairs

They have multiple dogs and were loudly arguing with each other this morning.

Private property, as far as I can tell. They are at the foot of an apt building.

The location is directly across (up the hill) from 2557 Wallace Street.

I called the number above. Because the encampment is on private property, the Dept of Public Works sent the request to Code Enforcement. Code Enforcement needs to address the issue by contacting the property owner. They had no idea how or how soon that would happen,or how we would find out what actions they'd taken. They did offer the # for code enforcement 510-238-3381.

Oakland has allowed the the street people population to grow to around 7 thousand. All I can think is the City and all advocates are making a lot of money by not making the problem go away. The so called rats must rich by now. Maybe a grand jury inquest is in order.
