说明
This busy intersection is already very difficult to negotiate. Especially during peak school hours. To exit New Brooklyn Road onto North or Southbound Madison can take a very long time. Especially during school dropoff and pickup times. Many cars back up on New Brooklyn waiting for breaks in traffic (which can be a long time during peak school times).
With the new care facility under construction on the east part of this intersection and with the proposed office park construction at the Xmas Tree Farm on nearly the whole length of New Brooklyn Road between North Town Woods and Madison Avenue, it is clear that better processing of traffic at the intersection of New Brooklyn and Madison Avenue is needed.
The current design also is deficient due to the poor sight line for cars trying to exit New Brooklyn due to the hillside blocking the view of oncoming southbound traffic on Madison Avenue.

we would like answer from the city. Is this issue under review? I just read yesterday that a new 24 hour emergency clinic, expected to serve 10,000 people per year, has been proposed for land adjacent to this intersection.
I live on New brooklyn Road. Three new homes have been built within two lots of my home in the past four years - during the worst recession in 80 years. The issue regarding traffic at the intersection of New Brooklyn and Madison needs a plan before any new developments are approved. Whether at the Xmas tree farm industrial property or for this newly-proposed clinic.

Just want to know if anyone at cobi has looked at this.
If not, then why give people SeeClickFix as an option for reporting concerns?

Anyone at city hall on Bainbridge looking into this. Since I first posted this a large new adult healthcare home has opened at this intersection. Currently under construction at this intersection is a large new medical center. Also at this intersection is a proposed light industrial park where the Christmas Tree farm is located. A new housing development is finished and the homes are selling on Madison on the other side of highway 305.
What are the plans for this intersection?
Is the city using SeeClickFix? If not, why spend my taxpayer money on this system?

Is the City using SeeClickFix? Yes. They replaced the missing speed limit sign on New Brooklyn near Grizdale Ln that I reported here. But they also don't act on a lot of items.
Something needs to be done about the Madison/New Brooklyn intersection.

This issue was reported in October 2012 and was not acknowledged by the City until December 2014.
The City approves large projects without improving the roads to access those projects. If the City needs money to do this, they should be assessing sufficient fees from the developers to do so and/or including the infrastructure improvements in the development plan. It is irresponsible to continue to approve developments that will generate lots of additional traffic with no plan for how that traffic will be accommodated.

Just saying that there are no good short term solutions does not solve the problem.
This issue was reported so long ago that the entrance to an assisted living facility and a medical center (as well as an additional stop sign) are now at the intersection. I suppose those developments were also determined to have "no traffic impact" either.
Why did it take the City two-and-a-half years to say that they were going to do anything about it?
