I agree with GCRVA - stop closing items that are not fixed!!!! Acknowledged is an acceptable response but Closed is a lie. They keep doing this on our issues as well.

Thanks for expediting, but since it takes work to make these posts and I do not want to have to do one again (I have had to before), I would prefer to leace this open. Show your love 4 rva and allow unfixed requests to stay open until verified fixed!

So help me understand - are you saying this shouldn't have been submitted to this website although city personnel tell citizens that this is where tissues need to be reported? I call BS on the closing. I think it just makes the stats look better for the city when nothing is actually getting fixed. I say we odd along this practice to a reporter at the Times-Dispatch as yet another scam perpetrated on the citizens.
Could you please pass this along to management to consider changing the policy of closing unrepaired requests before they are actually repaired? It really decreases the effectiveness of ehat this site can be!
I don't know that it is a system wide policy. In the past different areas have acknowledged issues that haven't actually been repaired until they are repaired rather than closing them just because they have been passed along to someone.

This repair had not been done and is dangerous for anyone trying to use the sidewalk. It has been sitting there for so long the yellow caution tape has been bleached white!
