Can the police academy instructors , the Mayor office please give us tax paying, VOTING citizens why are the cadets are having night time gun range practice. I like most people work two jobs and have children. When I get off work the last thing my children and I want to hear is automatic and semiautomatic weapons for over an hour( started around 8:20 and still currently going ) . What do we tell our children when they are visibly shaken, crying and now can't get to sleep. This is one of the reasons why the residents in Willington,CT are against the proposed state trooper firing range in their town . The academy is run down and they need a new one,but not in the middle of a residential area. The academy is across the street from a middle school, and a block away from two more schools in either direction The Police academy needs to be in a properly zoned area where they can get the proper training uninterrupted at any time they choose . We citizens should be able to come home from a hard days work to see our children and get them ready for school and into bed without having to hold them from shaking and crying from hearing gunfire from the police academy.
