I watched the Yale Police aggressively enforce bicycle traffic violations all summer. Now that Yale is back I see bicycles everywhere going thru red lights, cutting off pedestrians in cross walks and more. Once in a while I see a rider obeying the law. I actually had a Yale student say "are you serious" when I told them they were supposed to stop at a red light. I won't repeat what they said when I replied yes.
Can anyone address Yale about promoting bicycle safety? Also why can't the Yale PD continue their enforcement thru the year or do they reserve summer time for going after Townies??

I saw a Yale Officer on College street in June drive over the double yellow line to cut off a biker and missed him by inches. If anyone else did that they would have gotten arrested, but I guess it was ok cause he parked in front of fire hydrant to go get a soda n food down the road. Arrogance is abound on all sides.

Because bicycles don't ride on the streets - I'm sorry but how does re-categorizing something without acknowledging it do anything for the issue.
Who are you verified official ??? please give me your contact information so I can speak with you in person to find out why you keep moving things around without doing anything productive with these issues such as directing people to the correct department, commenting as to why you would, or acknowledging the issue.
