What is the City doing to address this? There is obviously an ongoing problem in this area.

city won't do anything.

The Mystic River Road and the riverbank is technically under State Police and DCR control.

City of Medford, please respond. Maybe a health department issue? I would do a brand new post to the health department.
SOMEBODY do something. Tuna has been more than patient. More patrols in the area? Seems that there could be several ways to deal with this. Tuna, email the mayors office and health dept.

When is the city going to fix this????

I live in the neighborhood and agree there is a problem. At a minimum, the MDC could put in trash cans. But I doubt the offender(s) will use them. I also agree that Giles could be a good neighbor and put up a sign about not littering in the neighborhood. I think the key is to discourage loitering. Perhaps the MDC and/or Medford police can provide some ideas on how to do that?

Wow yes - its 2021 and this is THE #1 litter I’ve seen (and often pick up) on my river walks for the past 3 yrs. More cans ALONG Mystic River Road would be one helpful thing - and all the way down to the Arlington St end too for all the pandemic poop bags owners just leave on the ground. Thank you.
