I called public works this AM - did they come by to look? I couldn't really see in the dark this morning before I went to work.

I haven't been home since this morning when I left for work, so I don't know if they came by. I will check when I get home to see if the limb was removed. If it hasn't been, I will check with my neighbors to see if the town came by.

Thanks - I did request they look at it as a safety issue so if they did and agreed I would hope they took it right down (if the equipment was readily available).

I have a meeting downtown tonight - when I get in from New York and as I head down town I'll swing through and look myself but please post an update when you are able since you know right where the limb is.

The limb is still there, and my neighbor's can't say whether the town has been by. FYI, it's in the tree just to the east of my driveway, hanging on the east side of the tree, straight down, a bit off the curb. It hasn't broken off completely, but I'm afraid it won't take much of a wind or weight from heavy rains to bring it down. Unfortunately, if it came straight down, it would be in the path of or on any car coming down the street.

OK - thanks; I'll give them a call in the morning again and ask them if they sent anyone and if so what was the assessment and if not when they are planning to. As soon as I get some follow up I'll let you know>

I spoke with the Director of Public Works this morning. Mr. McCully indicated that one of his foremen took a look at the issue as reported and they are trying to schedule the work for Wednesday so I would presume that if the branch survives the weather today that they will address it tomorrow unless something throws their schedule off.

The limb did survive the storm, remarkably, and it was taken down today. Thank you for your help,l again!
