Came home today and tree dropped a (thankfully relatively small) branch. It definitely needs pruning. Please address before it damages the roof and gutters, it now looks way worse than the picture that was taken in the winter!
Following up on this. Called the other day as well. A redundant SCF issue says "within spec" while this one says prioritized for action. Tree has a massive branch hanging over roof. Attic is living space so damage to the brand new roof would be catastrophic. Larger branches constantly being dropped on roof, sidewalk, and cars. I left my phone number so please call with questions.
Still no call back. Tree is now dropping crazy amounts of bark all over everything. Street, sidewalk, cars, houses. Some really big chunks. No idea if this is normal for this kind of tree, but if it isn't normal, then I have a tree in poor heath that is grossly overhanging a new $8000 roof on a historic house, where the attic is finished living space.
Is this tree prioritized for action or not? Please return my calls.
Here is another image of the overhang. It's worse than my original picture from almost a year and a half ago. Note the missing bark, maybe this is normal? I don't know. It's a beautiful tree so I hope nothing is wrong, but maintenance is clearly needed.
How come the department can open and close dozens of tree trimming issues every day but I can't get a substantive comment on this nor a call back? Have left my name and number numerous times.
Per SCF the department has recently been operating in this Ward (Lyon and William St). Yet I can't get a response to this issue nor a call back. We're going into winter, yet again. Is the department going to pay for repairs to my new $8000 roof and pay for a hotel stay for the top floor residents? I doubt it. Return my calls.
As expected, lots of branches dropped due to the wind. Mostly sidewalk and in the street, no house damage this time. Still, needs to be trimmed.
Called last week and was told an emergency work order would be put in, did that happen? Please call.
