Thank you for using the Access Burlingame App. Given the figure you provided, we certainly understanding your concern. Staff will review the intersection, and make a determination on what additional improvements would be appropriate.

Staff has completed our review of the intersection and found that there is sufficient visibility. If a vehicle is parked at the corner and impairing visibility, please contact Burlingame Police (BPD). BPD can issue a citation for someone parking in the intersection per California Vehicle Code (CVC) Section 22500.

Why not mark that lane for straight AND left turn? Note that I nearly never go through there, usually I'm mired in the mess by Broadway and 101, where no amount of signs or lane markings is enough to prevent chaos and anarchy.

Staff obtaining quote from contractor to restripe lane to be an exclusive left-turn lane. Work will also include adding "only" pavement legends next to the existing left-turn arrows.

Isn't it a little late to add signs and arrows right at Trousdale and Skyline? That left lane becomes a trap a full block earlier at Trousdale/Hunt. That's where the additional sign and arrows should go. So people don't end up in that lane in the first place? Drivers should easily be able to see the arrows on that uphill block. Just a suggestion.

I agree completely M Valesco! that is actaully a much better solution than mine since it lets people know before they're at the top when it would be too late to switch

Striping improvements have been completed to clarify the westbound lanes on Trousdale at this intersection.
