The "brightest" open spot in the park, directly across from Torrington Supply.

The DARKEST corner. There is a man with his bike sitting on a bench between the trees, but at 7:45pm you cannot see him until you are only a few feet from him. He did not show up on camera.

MAYBE the city could throw in the lighting since they wanted $17,000 for the fence! If they got LED lighting, it would cost almost NOTHING for electricity! No one from 360 State St. has any connections? No pun intended.

Alderman Hausladen has brought the issue to our attention, and we will work to find a solution to both the approach and the park itself.

Not sure how much sunlight is available at the dog park, but aren't there SOLAR LIGHTS right down the street near the railroad bridge on State St. because people complained that it was dark there? Those involve NO recurring light bill!

And with that I am pleased to say that this issue can be closed! [Can't seem to close now that it's been acknowledged?]

Once lights are up if there are sections that still aren't as bright as we'd like them (thinking Small Dog Park area...) then we can take a look at further needs. I add my thanks to the City, Doug, and all of the community members that continue to make this a great space for dogs and people in New Haven!

Looking good! It looks like 2 lights but one is working. I wonder if the 2nd one will turn on as well to shine a light to the South/West
