This block is frequently used by motorists needing to travel between Bay Farm Island and Oakland Airport. It is a major thoroughfare going through this residential block. Motorists are often speeding and traveling in excess of the safe speed. There have been a number of near-misses involving both vehicles and pedestrians. The City needs to install traffic calming devices to control speeding motorists. Speed bumps, additional stop signs, and other traffic signals should be considered.
