There is no duck feeding area. You are not supposed to feed the ducks. It's not good for them anyway. They have no problem finding food that they are built to eat. Please stop feeding them and there is a fine for doing so as well.

Is it necessary to nit pick. There is indeed a duck feeding area. Whether it is legal, moral, good for the ducks, bad for the ducks, I don't know. Some families enjoy doing that, I was just using it as an example. If the city wants to ban duck feeding, that's their prerogative.

If you choose to feed them anyway please only bird seed or some oats. Never any bread products. Have a great day!

Please find a plan that consistently works on weekends and holidays to get the park opened on time. It is shameful that on some of these days it's late in the day before our busy police department officers can get there to do so. The park is a special asset few cities or towns in the Commonwealth can claim to have. Let's see it made available as scheduled and not discourage those who arrive to find it locked up and reluctant to return to find it inaccessible another time.

No it hasn't. After several emails to the Park Dept. Superintendent the only response was a polite acknowledgement. Others may wish to call or email to any city offical, elected or otherwise. Strength in numbers.

Agreed - my other comments on DW field park (wrong way driving) are also ignored.

DW Field roads are in horrible condition, especially near the Harrison Blvd. area. It just about swallowed up my truck. I'm sure there is damage. Tires included.

I agree with everyone here. Cant there be a designated resident here or retiree that can open and close the park. Why does it have to be the police. The roads need to be repaired too.

I'm beginning to find out this site is a fraud. No fixes to any entries. It's nothing more than a feel good promotion provided to the public.

Ms. White, your suggestion and several other options were presented to resolve this issue. All have fallen on deaf ears. For the several years i worked on this i can truthfully say there is no will ir desire to resolve this.

maybe call the ward seven councillor this should be something that can be fixed easy. maybe giving a key to say a park employee

The problem is that Park Dept. employees do not work on weekends and holidays therefore the BPD are responsible for opening and closing the park.

There lies the issue, our PD are chasing overdose calls, domestics at 8 in the morning etc. Another solution as prior mentioned need serious consideration. Our PD is too busy for "Gate Keeping" activity.

My experience is the gates are closed but not locked. Just get out of the car & open the damn gates.

You got lucky because they are definitely locked.
