The City and Ct Transit are always 'letting' the other guy do it,, which means nobody does it. I think that the City has the ultimate responsibility. I suggest you call them.. start with the Mayor's office.
Thanks for the comments and posting; property owners are responsible for clearing their sidewalks after a storm.
Here's what we message during snow storms:
Don't forget! During a snow storm, please work to keep your sidewalks clear to their full width. A lot of your neighbors continue to walk and use our sidewalks, and it is important for a Great City to have clear sidewalks during a storm so we all can still get to the store and to bus stops. Doug Hausladen, that works fairly well for small homeowners, and privately owned small businesses. However, notice that the original poster was referring to a bus stop. Intersections, bus stops, vacant lots, the City itself, and Yale are more difficult to deal with and need more than the response you gave for small property owners.
We are closing your snow issue from the past season in order to focus our attention on the 2018-2019 snow season. Each year we review your feedback and try to incorporate it into our snow operations. Hopefully you will notice an improvement. Thanks!
