Well for the record the dog belonged to my little brother. The dog is fine that's not my concern people are speeding at night and when people are crossing the street due to the lack of light it is very dangerous. I think there can be more lights put out on Orchard st between Chapel / Edgewood. Thank You.

Is a street light burned out here? If so do you know the pole #?

I would like to see more pedestrian-level lighting on the cross streets between Chapel and Whalley (Orchard, Sherman, Winthrop), since many citizens walk these cross streets at night in order to catch a bus to or from Saint Raphael's.

I don't know the pole number and yes i do think the light burned out.

The pole number is on the pole, and UI needs the number in order to fix the light. Can you please check after dark to make sure that the light is out and also write down the pole number and post it here? If you can do that, the light should be fixed within a week. All of the street lighting in New Haven is designed to IES standards. That being said, we are actively working on a project to convert the City's street lighting system to LED technology. LEDs produce a brighter, whiter light that will improve illumination citywide.
