It's actually a dynamic idea. With the rate of Mid-Town growth it would make Raleigh's only satellite city stupendous. Traffic flow would be VERY easy to manage. However to really make your idea work, you would need an existing parallel alignment within about 200 feet of Six Forks (consider the bus riders who have to walk between their inbound and outbound trip every day), for the traffic in the opposite direction and an entirely separate bridge across I-440. Unfortunately we just do not have this Right of Way.
