something strange about 6 to eight cars parked in front of the house in a residential neighborhood with single family housing. Many staying overnight. Always trucks in the driveway. Is it a business property? Are we zoned? Is this a rental?

There is no set number in the code as to the number of vehicles allowed (operational) at a property. The property is listed as a single family residential. I reported this on Jan. 27 and received no comment/reply: "There appears to be several families living in this home. I'm not sure this is illegal or a code issue, but there are always 8 to 12 cars parked on the street and lots of people coming and going. It's difficult to park on Blackstone because this home has so many cars always parked in front. Looks a bit suspicious. Thanks."

I went to the property the other day. Overall, the property is not in that bad of shape. The vehicles in the driveway appear to be operational and there were three cars on the street. They were not parked IFO other properties and appeared to be legally parked and registered. I spoke to a tenant who advised that there are four adults living at the location. The cars on the street are ones that were recently inherited. He advised that they try not to park IFO other properties so that they are not impacting other neighbors. He will have the gardening supplies moved out of sight. I will check on the concern of the in-law unit. Are you seeing people living in the rear unit? I will recheck but thought that building was permitted - although not as a second unit. Will confirm --- please provide more info on this. Thanks, Nancy

I have not received further information as to the potential use of a second unit on this property.
