I also hit a pothole in this area at the end of July 2012. But it seems there isn't much leverage for getting reimbursed for damages unless the pothole has been reported to the city. Has this hazard been reported to the city? Does it have a 'Defect Id' that can be checked on the page http://a841-dotvweb01.nyc.gov/Potholeform/ViewController/CheckStatus.aspx ? Is there any way to view a record of this pothole?
