The trash & recycling trucks are producing extremely loud noises when they barrel down the streets in the early morning hours (5 am, 6:30 am). This is incredibly disruptive to residents' sleep. As the trucks make multiple stops on our tiny street, each stop accompanied by the clamor of the trash being dumped and cans tossed aside, the noise endures for a lengthy period. By the time the trucks are gone, we're wide awake and unable to fall back asleep. The production of this much commotion during these hours seems inconsistent with the city's commitment, as reflected in its noise ordinances, to keep the city peaceful and quiet during these hours when the typical resident is resting. Please, out of respect for our need to rest, schedule trash collection at a later time. Even moving the collection back from 5 am to 7 would make a world of difference for the Lunwood community.
