Taco Bell is coming to that corner. Dr. Patel the dentist owns that property.

The people in City Hall are obviously too involved with their precious downtown to realize that there are many other locations in this city, including City owned property, that have been ignored & completely forgotten. These prime locations are viewed on a daily basis by the citizens of Torrington as well as visitors; thus giving the impression that our city holds the same reputation as Waterbury or Bridgeport; poorly maintained & unkempt.

Precious Downtown--Look at the mess hanging out on Water Street at the gaming place.I would never walk that street again .Good place to get mugged.

Taco Bell or not the structure should be leveled or the owner fined as others in the city have been threatened. It has been years since this property was sold and it has since deteriorated and is an eyesore.
I have yet to see any "fixes" made that appear in this "See Click Fix" program. It seems to go without notice.

the fire dept is using it for training & then supposedly Taco Bell is going to beb uilt there get over it, there is many worse things than that, turn your head & dont freakin look at it get a grip on reality times are also very tough you must be one of those rich people who think they are better than everyone because you have all kinds of money why dont you pay to have it leveled. I think its a great place for TFDto train the newbies at least they'll know what to do you never know they might just save your life in a fire. you think everything should jump for you guess what NOT. REMEMBER THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD & NOBODY IS BETTER THAN ANYONE SO SHUT YOUR TRAP

How is the fire dept training there? They put holes in the roof to vent it so it wouldn't combust. They haven't touched it since. I'm not a rich person, I've lived here all my life. I'm tired of watching this place turn into a hole like Waterbury. Get your facts straight

I certainly agree with the fact that it isn't a question of 'fire department training'- fact of the matter is that what used to be a delightful town to live in, is rapidly deteriorating to the point where it is shameful to admit that one resides in it. I moved here in 1970, because of the opportunities and Torrington possessed a nice atmosphere. Look around people!Are you all pleased at what you see? And, no, I AM NOT a rich person; just someone who cares.

OK- so was it the fact that we were discussing this? Or has the almighty " Torrington City Hall" finally moved it's duff & decided that this is an eyesore that HAS to be taken care of? NO...fact of the matter folks is that a new Taco Bell is currently underway; so...once again, our city government only acts when they know they will obtain more money. ( permits, taxes, ect.) Only my view...... but in any case, the area looks much cleaner.
