Afternoon,

I also wanted to request more light fixtures on this part of Neal St. (from Haywood St. up to Gate City). From what I can tell, there is only 1 light fixture on this entire stretch currently, and it is a Mercury Vapor fixture. I would like to request (within city lighting distance guidelines) for new LED fixtures to be installed where possible, and the current 1 Mercury Vapor fixture be replaced with a LED fixture for uniformity and to offer a brighter street. I imagine when the new UNCG REC center opens that this street will be traveled upon a lot by students, and I am concerned that with as dark as it currently is, will become an issue at some point and want to prevent that as much as possible. Since there is no residents on this block, just businesses, I don't think the Petition form is needed. As before, please reach out to me via email since I don't have access to a phone.
