Description
Traffic is growing heavier at the intersection of Highland Ave and Oak Street. Sometimes the stop signs are ignored. A flashing warning light would be nice at this location.
Oak Street is becoming a speedway for traffic coming off of Florida Street onto Highland and Oak Street. Surveillance is requested as well.

1. GDOT has a process in place for requesting new/upgraded traffic signals. Their engineers prefer to work directly with the requestor. Since you posted anonymously I cannot escalate your request to them at this time. Please call us at (336) 373-2489 Monday through Friday between 7:00AM and 6:00PM. Tell the customer service representative that you are requesting a "new signal". That way we can get your contact information without it being posted on Fix It Greensboro.
2. Regarding the drivers running Stop signs: The Greensboro Police Department has a systematic process for receiving traffic concerns, which is the number one issue we hear about at community meetings. Please complete the online form on the following link to start the process. The form will be automatically sent to the Traffic Section and an officer will be assigned to research the concern.
