(posted on behalf of Assistant Chief Luke Williams, SPPD) Thank you for your SeeClickFix email #2077378, dated November 26, 2015, regarding an illegally parked vehicle impeding traffic in the area of Elkcam Boulevard and Pompano Drive Southeast. The Mayor has asked that I respond to you directly in reference to this issue. Acting Lieutenant C. Emmert and Sergeant G. Lopez were notified of the issue. Patrol Officer M. Webster was directed to do periodic checks at the location to locate the vehicle and tag it as abandoned, and to ticket them for illegal parking or improper street storage if on the street in excess of 72 hours, as well as possibly impounding the vehicle. After several checks, it was determined the vehicle is no longer parked at this location. Should the vehicle return and be parked illegally, please notify us. Officers will continue monitoring the location to address your concerns and ensure compliance.
