A few things about parking in the city
* if the street is a private road the city does do parking enforcement on abandoned vehicles
* If the vehicles registration and inspection are still valid and the vehicle appears to be drive-able the city does not considered to be in violation of city code (FYI the truck in the picture has antique tags which are NON-expiring there for it can not be classified abandoned unless all of the vehicles tires are flat or has been in a significant crash)
* If you do not call and report the vehicles they will no be investigated which is only done Monday-Friday during the day on non-holidays by police aides or parking enforcement staff not patrol officers.

For specific area of the city you are in you can call the North Precinct Police station (Denbigh) directly to have the information passed on to a police aid for review @369-3105

I know her personaly and she is a upstanding citizen with the big picture in mind. The budget cuts have been hard on us all. We will press thru, it will take time and support from all. Keep looking forward and the dawn will break.

Well, that is not very nice. I can read and I choose to support those in the community who are trying to make a positive impact. There can be no change without the desire. Sure, there have been budget cuts and the landscapers seem to take the brunt of the axe, but we can and will work past the issues and unite for the community. I stand by my last post and support all who have the dream to better themselves.

Police have checked this vehicle several times it does not violate any of the city's parking codes please remember to close issues that have been addressed.

I was told by my condo manager that the city has confirmed multiple times that this truck was violating the 4 day limit on parking, but the city is just refusing to enforce the law. We all are used to this, since Newport News ignores all of us north of Fort Eustis, but it would be nice if the city would just admit it instead of telling us that we don't know the law.

why dont you put a nice note on the window telling the owner how he has wronged the community?

The city does not have a 4 day parking limit for residential streets. So try another story!

The vehicle in question was found not to violate any city parking codes. Remember to close your issues when they have been addressed!
