Owner called in regards to the tree being removed. Wants to make sure the tree will be taken down as it's causing severe damages to her basement. Please assist.
Wow, as a new homeowner in the city of New Haven, I am baffeled as to how long it takes a Priority 1 from 10/23/2015 to still be pending action nearly 4 years later which the same has now caused damage to the foundation of the private property. Will the city of New Haven pay for repairs to this homeowner?
Tree may be healthy but it creates an unhealthy situation. Tree is so big it blocks the view of the person exiting their driveway and on coming traffic seeing them exit. While we need trees to beautify our communities, we also need to be safe in the same community.
@urban foresters, please remember your evaluation for when another collision occurs you come testify that on behalf of The city of New Haven you said the tree was healthy and the concern expressed that this same tree hinders visibility and posses a threat and potential loss of lives and property is one muted because the “tree is healthy”. Who cares of the threat to human lives, right?
Please note the tree was there before the driveway. On a one way street with a 25mph speed limit the tree is no different than a car that can park in the same site line.
As to the question about the length of the item, please note the original request was initially coded for trimming, it was not until this year that it was given a removal status.
This is not on the front of the house, this is on the Hurlburt St side. Plz look at the pictures provided, the tree identified here is impeding safe travel on Hurlburt, and entry and exit to the owners driveway.
I’m sorry but it appears that you either are not familiar with the area and cannot recognize the photos are not of the area you speak of in your response or you are not able to view the images provided. Where can I reach you?
