The Department of Recreation staff has spoken with the playground equipment company to determine if this issue was caused by wear and tear or vandalism. Unfortunately, it has been determined that the area was vandalized and will not be covered under warranty. We have received a quote for a replacement, which is not cost effective nor will be under warranty. The department is currently awaiting another quote on a different version of this slide that would be cost effective and come with a warranty. Although a replacement if acceptable may not take place before the winter season, the department is fully aware of the issue and the caution tape is temporary until a suitable solution can applied. We appreciate your patience during this time.
