Stanhope Avenue and its sidewalks have also suffered greatly because of the large Alsco trucks that come through the neighborhood. Quite often they come up and over the curbs and onto the sidewalks to get through our narrow street. And recently, with the new apartment project, the super-sized construction trucks have done the same thing to get through the narrow street.

With all due respect, it really is embarrassing.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. I will update this issue when I have heard back from them. Thanks for reporting.

Sidewalk repairs are paid for through bonds approved by the voters last year. This is now on our list for repair but please be patient as bond resources may not be available until the next fiscal year starting in July. We might be able to get to this sooner, but it is likely to be later in the year. Thanks for your patience.
