Description

A large sum of traffic traveling north on Patton wanting to turn left on Bob Wallace will hop in the center turn lane and drive (at excessive speeds) even though the markings on the road make this action technically illegal -- there is a dedicated turn lane for the Holiday Foods shopping center that drivers disregard, not to mention several side streets. I've seen traffic as far back as 1,000 feet use this "suicide" lane to bypass having to wait in traffic. Traffic traveling southbound on Patton wanting to turn left should have right-of-way but that means nothing to the drivers flying northbound. One day this is going to result in a deadly wreck. The city needs to extend the median divider further south to protect the other dedicated turn lane and to prevent drivers from breaking the law.
