  • Andrew Jackson Way Ne & Oshaughnessy Ave Ne Huntsville, AL, 35801, USA - Huntsville

Can something be done to make this intersection safer for bicyclists? O'Shaughnessy Ave to Dallas Street has become to de facto bike route to downtown for myself and a number of residents that recently moved into the neighborhood.

Could you extend the green light time for bicyclists crossing Andrew Jackson Ave? It changes to quickly for bikes to make a safe crossing.

    Thank you

  • Pratt Ave Ne & Russell St Ne Huntsville, AL, 35801, USA - Huntsville

Can you make modifications to this intersection so the traffic signal on Russell Street can detect bicycles?

I ride my bicycle down Russell Street and can never cross the street here because the traffic light isn't triggered by a bicycle. Making it impossible to safety cross the street.

Can modifications be done to support bicycles crossing Pratt Ave?

There is a pothole forming in the southbound lanes of Jan Davis Drive at the Explorer intersection.
  • 877 Slaughter Road Madison, Alabama - Huntsville

Please have the contractor repaint the road markings on Slaughter Road at Eastview. Very dangerous situation.

Also, no traffic control devices exist. Left turn lane removed. No caution signs. Please do something about this. Thank you.

  • 445 Jan Davis Drive Northwest Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville

It is impossible to see traffic coming from the east on Old Madison Pike, while trying to turn right from (heading South on) Jan Davis Drive. In order to see the traffic coming, you have to inch up into the road itself as the flowers are too high and too far out to see the road. I can attach an image if needed.

Can a crew adjust the flowers and remove the obstruction?

    Thank you

  • 7508-7584 Old Madison Pike Madison, Alabama - Huntsville
A recent wreck at this intersection resulted in the Keep Right sign being knocked over. It is currently on the ground next to the entrance.
  • 7584 Old Madison Pike Madison, Alabama - Huntsville
Please install a "Do Not Block Intersection" sign for Old Madison Pike in front of the entrance to Bridge Pointe apartments. Afternoon traffic makes it difficult to turn in and out of the apartments because cars block the entrance.
  • 507-545 Slaughter Road Madison, Alabama - Huntsville

Can a pedestrian crosswalk signal be installed on the northern side of Old Madison Pike crossing Slaughter?

Also, "turning vehicles yield to pedestrian" signage at the intersection? (1) At NE corner facing E; (2) At NE corner facing W; (3) At NW corner facing N

    Thank you

  • 7270-7284 Old Madison Pike Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
Multiple street lights in the median are out on Old Madison Pike between Jan Davis Drive and John Paul High. Makes it pretty dark at night.
  • 410 Jan Davis Drive Northwest Huntsville Alabama - Huntsville
Left after a recent construction project.
  • 401 Jan Davis Drive Northwest Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville

Thank you for placing the yield to pedestrian signs. Is it possible to place one more at 34.713574, -86.692221 facing north? (the NW corner of the intersection for traffic traveling south on Jan Davis turning right/west on Madison Pike)
One was installed there recently with the others but has since been removed.

    Thank you!

  • 1035 A Cleaner Way Southwest Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville

I drive 40 minutes round-trip twice a week to the public drop-off recycling location because I live in an apartment that doesn't offer any recycling options. Mostly a question, are there any other public drop-off locations for general recycling (paper, cardboard, plastic)? Would it be feasible to place additional public drop-off recycling dumpsters in other parts of the city (i.e., near Research Park area)? Huntsville is trying to become a Green City, so this could help..

    Thank you!

  • 7308-7398 Old Madison Pike Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville

Small bits of litter here and there line the northside of Old Madison Pike. Not sure if it's the traffic or the pedestrians that are littering. Two part request:

    1) Can a "No Littering" sign or two be placed.?
    2) Can an additional trash can be installed at the greenway enterance?

  • 401 Jan Davis Drive Northwest Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville

Crossing Jan Davis at Old Madison Pike is a bit risky. Even though the pedestrian signal says "Walk" and left turning traffic from Madison Pike to Jan Davis has a "Yield on Green" sign, traffic doesn't also appear to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. Can the city put up a few "Turning traffic must yield to pedestrian" signs at this intersection. In particular:

EB Madison Pike to NB Jan Davis (left turning traffic)
WB Madison Pike to NB Jan Davis (right turning traffic)

Thanks for making this area safer for pedestrians!

  • 401 Jan Davis Drive Northwest Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
NW corner of Jan Davis and Old Madison Pike:
Although the flowers are beautiful and a great addition, the placement of the "Push to Cross" button makes it challenging to press without stepping over and on the flower bed. Can something be done to make it easier to access the button for people crossing Jan Davis on the north side of Old Madison Pike?
    Thank you!
  • 112-118 Sparkman Drive Northwest Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
Traffic signal is out of sync with the other signals causing delays and unnecessary wait times.
