Can police enforcement be sent during morning drop off time (8:45?)

Police enforcement needs to be available at the end of the day, too, including after school activities.

This traffic and safety problem has been reported multiple times. The city finally installed curbstones on Jewel St. across from Beecher School to prevent cars from parking there. This has not worked. Buses still load and unload students in front of Beecher rather than in the back of the school where there is plenty of room. Parents then park across the street from the school making it difficult for other cars to drive through. Meanwhile, buses back up on Blake, causing parents to discharge students in unsafe places. This could all be avoided if traffic and parking worked seriously with the school to solve the problem. There is no reason why buses cannot use the parking behind the school for pick up and delivery. Parents need to be urged to pick up their kids behind the school. The principal needs to be on board with this plan. Is the city waiting for some child to be hurt or killed before this problem is addressed? This is shameful.

I was out there this afternoon. It is a difficult fix when parents refuse to cooperate with posted No Parking signs and there's little enforcement from school staff. It is impossible to have police enforcement daily but I have requested assistance from TTP who can issue tickets. I am meeting (yet again) tomorrow to help the traffic flow on Blake Street.
