In this case the sign is part of the recent DDOT initiative requiring city approval for all private shuttle stop locations. Reston Limousine operates a private shuttle servicing multiple office buildings to the Navy Yard and this specific location mentioned during lunch time only. I cannot imagine how DDOT could have possibly authorized this use of public space on a residential block where the shuttle blocks a busy pedestrian crosswalk and impairs residential parking but I will take it up with the ANC and Councilmember Allen and we will get to the bottom of it. This is extremely disrespectful of residential neighbors and I am disappointed that a company with as good a reputation as Reston Limo would throw its weight around like that
