I assume this issue has been ignored because the DOT plans to renovate the bridge. However, this item was reported over 500 days ago and the problem existed for quite some time before that. The bridge repair isn't going to happen for at least another year, leaving an obvious hazard for more than two years is really pathetic. This is exactly the time of year when this kind of sidewalk problem is most dangerous because the hole fills with leaves and becomes camouflaged. You don't have to make a perfect repair, just put a steel plate over it or fill it with some pothole patch, the proper repair will be done in 18months or whenever the bridge work is done. The risk of hurting people and the liability risk you are leaving yourself open to is really inexcusable since you have complaint systems like this and can not deny that you have known about this problem for over a year.
