The reason the lock was put on was because the gate is being left open and no one is locking it. We have to have a key to lock and unlock the gate for that area to be cut. If we do not have a key then someone will have to be there every time we need the gate open to cut the grass. If our crews can not get in the field then the field will not be maintained.

We understand that community watch needs to have access to the field, but so does the Landscaping Department. Can you please call (256) 535-2489 so we can discuss what will work best for everyone involved.

Just to clarify, my complaint was that the maintenance crew LOCKED the gate OPEN.

And they mowed on Wednesday, after I closed it, and left it OPEN again. I have closed it yet again.

I am find with closing it behind the maintenance crew, but we'll need a key to access it. Community watch currently doesn't have a key to this lock.
