This has not been handled or resolved. I go back to my second request. If the City will not maintain the light poles in Village of Providence, are the homeowners allowed to repair them?

Huntsville Utilities has identified the street light where the paint has chipped off of the pole. We will have this street light repainted, and we found that the damage is a result of grass cutters on the property damaging the paint at the base of the street light. If the future should the grass cutters damage any other street lights there is a $100 charge per pole to have it repainted.

Thanks for fixing this issue!

The paint job to fix this light looks worse than before they did anything. They spray painted some of it a different color, overlapped the paint, and did not paint all of the metal. I am very disappointed in the repair job and would like the supervisor over Huntsville Utilities to look at this picture and respond. Thanks.

Our Engineering Services Superintendent has reviewed this street light and found that it is well within our acceptable appearance guidelines. When we touch up paint the new paint will not match the rest of the pole. If you would like this entire street light repainted, we will require a $100 payment. We are closing your request.
