The construction work was authorized by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to close lanes of traffic. The authorized times for the work were from 9pm to 6am. A traffic alert was posted on the Town website to provide notice to area residents. It is always best to call the Surfside Police Department non-emergency phone number 305-861-4862, when situations like these occur so you may obtain an immediate response as to why the traffic condition exists. TRAFFIC ALERTS (Town of Surfside Website)
The Town of Surfside Police Department wants you to be aware that the Florida Department of Transportation has authorized a lane closure in the 9000 block and 9100 block of Collins Avenue (SR A1A) between the hours of 9:00 pm to 6:00 am, on the following date:
Thursday , September 3, 2015
The lane closures will encompass the two easternmost lanes of Collins Avenue.
Surfside Police Officers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Please plan your commute routes accordingly and drive safely.
