Description

Found a dead raccoon in my backyard. no visible cuts or injuries. how/who to dispose of it?

Dig hole, deposit raccoon in hole, cover with dirt. Pat down soil. Erect modest memorial stake above grave.

I do apologize for the late response but opening a park request is not the best way to handle your situation. Any dead animals that maybe found on private property will not be handled by the parks department. It would be best to contact the animal shelter (203) 946-8110, http://www.cityofnewhaven.com/AnimalShelter/index.asp for the correct solution. Thank you.
