Description
I have reported issues in the past in regards to vacant properties located on John Hay Avenue. There are multiple properties that are unkept (overgrown weeds, broken glass, garbage, etc...). I have been a resident my entire life and the past two years have been terrible on my block. Multiple properties have been vacant since hurricane Sandy and they are not only an eye sore but are a health risk to those of us left on the block. Additionally, the town dug up the block over two months ago and it has yet to be paved. There are now deep indentations in the street and the traffic from the trucks causes such significant vibrations that I am starting to get cracks in my walls. I would greatly appreciate someone from the town investigating what the status is of the vacant properties and when the block will be paved. Thank you!

The property located at 21 John Hay Avenue is now occupied but the new occupants don't seem to understand the garbage collection schedule. New to the block and perhaps they need time to adjust to how things work but leaving bags of garbage on the sidewalk in front of their home for days is not a good introduction to the neighborhood. Perhaps someone from the town could pay a visit and explain the garbage pick up schedule.
John Hay Avenue has always been a pretty clean block and I'm sure I speak for all the neighbors
when I say we don't appreciate garbage thrown all over.
Thank you in advance for your timely attention to this matter.
