It's very difficult to tell as the noise is coming from behind the property where they have a balcony overlooking other properties (who also have to suffer this incessant noise!). I think it's 1050.

As a point, they have now been hammering persistently since 6.00am this morning.

Unfortunately we have a HUGE issue in this area with barking dogs, which the dog owner (a local police officer) knows that Animal Control don't really have the time to dedicate to the issue. When these things start to go unchecked then others around us presume it's ok to be inconsiderate to their fellow neighbor with power tools late at night, loud music etc.

I appreciate that the City is doing the best it can.

Please scrap that regarding the Hammering, my neighbor has just informed me that the hammering is in fact coming from Robbie Keith Lane, which is behind this property.
As I stated before, once one person gets away with allowing noise everyone else follows suit.

Regarding the barking dog issue, you can call animal control and they will send you a form where you can track the barking dogs. If the barking persists over a period of time, the owner will be cited. Incessant barking is a code violation in Contra Costa County and in the city of Walnut Creek.

Please call the PD non-emergency phone number for noise issues in the evening/early morning. Work should not start until 7:00 if they have a building permit. Animal Services usually requires two independent complaints on barking dogs. At a minimum you can start by finding out if the animals are licensed at that location. The circular saw goes on at all times, hours. If I had to guess the person is either running a business from their house or is doing house maintenance in their time off. It starts early, ends late and some days goes on the entire day. This makes it dreadful for those that either stay at home or work from home.

The nuisance law is clear -- no work after 7 pm. Call the police to enforce it.

Maybe the perp was circular sawed themselves by one of the people fed up of the noise.
