There's a hydrant between this address, the left-(west)most unit of the newer condos on Sunnyvale and the place to the left. The hydrant is between the bushes and the fence. All other hydrants on Sunnyvale have a red zone which extends to both sides of the hydrant, but this one has only a red zone to the west/left. I believe when the curb was redone at the time of the condo construction, they never came back to make it a fire zone access.
  • 1615 Sunnyvale Ave Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
Very overgrown area in front of complex at listed address.
  • 1584 Sunnyvale Ave Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
An abandoned couch has been blocking the sidewalk for the better part of a week. Now it's all soggy and heavy. Note: BLOCKING THE SIDEWALK. Please have it removed. This is between the condos at the posted address and Roxie Lane on the north side of the street.
  • 1133 Roxie Ln Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
There's a broken cover on a cable company's hole in the ground, right in the middle of the sidewalk in front of 1133 Roxie Ln. The hole is 3" x 3 1/2", and it's so deep in one part that an animal can be maimed if a leg goes into it. Otherwise it is a trip and fall liability, or a shoe-heel-stick which can lead to a fall and serious injury. It was reported to the cable company a while back but nothing has been done. Will it take an injury to have it fixed?

There has been personal property/household goods "stored" in the open back bed of a pickup truck for nearly a month. The truck was tagged with a 72-hour notice, but they only moved it a few inches, per the law's requirement. Very unsightly and now it has been rained on several times.
  • 1122-1130 Roxie Lane Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
Though this now decomposing tree is stuffed into the bushes in front of 1122 Roxie Ln, neighbors believe it was from 1130 Roxie Lane.
  • 1974-1988 Ygnacio Valley Road Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek

Can't find an email address for the Street Department, so I'm posting it here -- you always know where to forward things.

Heading south on Bancroft Rd to go east (turn right) on Ygnacio Valley Rd, there is a merge lane with NO Yield or Stop sign, yet cars almost always come to a dead stop in the
merge lane, though the intent is to proceed slowly and merge left at the end. HOW ABOUT A SIGN THAT INDICATES THAT? "Merge Lane Does Not Stop - Continue Driving In The Merge Lane"

  • 1101 Roxie Ln Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
Abandoned (and very soggy) couch on the south side of 1101 Roxie Lane, but between Roxie and Corrie.
  • 1100 Olivia Ct Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
Bushes, flowers and trees blocking the sidewalk.
  • 1772 Sunnyvale Ave Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
Overgrown trees and bushes blocking the sidewalk.
  • 1132 Roxie Lane Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
This unit has had several pieces of old lattice stored outside their patio fence visible to the neighborhood. They just added some old painted plywood sheets to their debris collection.
  • 1133 Roxie Ln Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
A bottle-brush tree is taking over the sidewalk. The owner pays very little attention to his rental property.
  • N. San Carlos Drive In Heather Farm Park Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
I reported this issue a few months back and most things were taken care of properly but for one. There is still a large tree branch blocking the view of the electronic speed reporting sign on N. San Carlos Drive at Heather Farm Park. As you approach the electronic sign, the radar unit detects and then posts the speed limit, but due to the branch sticking out toward the street, the reported speed (and flashing light for those driving an excessive speed) cannot be seen by motorists until almost upon the sign. If it can't be seen, it is not performing at maximum effectiveness.
  • 1120 Roxie Lane Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
Can hardly get past the place on the sidewalk, the bushes are so overgrown, STILL.
  • 1101 Roxie Ln Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
Flowering bushes are overgrowing the sidewalk AGAIN.
  • Sunnyvale Ave Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
One is on the north side of the street just east of Roxie Lane and the other is on the south side of the street west of Wesley Ln.
  • All Over Sunnyvale Ave Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
Now that all the apartment dwellers have taken to the sidewalk to get their drug fix, the entire street, sidewalk and street-front plant beds are littered with cigarette butts. Did the city anticipate this consequential result? It is a very toxic mess and will be even worse when the rains take them all into the storm drains.
