The planted medians on Bloomfield Avenue have been cleaned up earlier this week. The issue on medians on Broad Street in Windsor Center is primarily a mowing need, which will be resolved early next week on schedule. There remains work to be completed on the medians in Wilson on Route 159, where weeds and trimming of the knockout rose bushes is needed. These rose bushes where badly damaged by the very cold weather in January this year. All of the above work was delayed as a result of late end to this winter and its severity. The spring street sweeping effort was delayed five weeks to allow for the ice to melt off the curb line. Also, the very cold weather caused breakages to occur to the storm water sewers, leading to cave-ins to the roads. This unplanned, emergency work took resources away from the maintenance of the planted islands and medians. Repairs have been made to the cave-ins, and sweeping ended about 1 1/2 weeks ago. As a result, personnel resources is being devoted to the median work going forward,

This reply sounds pretty much like bureaucratic BS rather than accepting the facts the town properties look horrendous and there is NO proactive program or response to the problem. The weak excuses given simply prove the statement that the town administration has no esthetic interest in the issue....

The planted medians on the major roads which needed attention have been addressed.
