Glad you did. Some neighbors have hesitated to call about petty thefts or when nothing has been taken but there's been an obvious rifling of a car, porch or garage. It's just a matter of time before these break-ins escalate or a confrontation occurs and consequences could prove more serious.

Keep calling the police. They look at patterns in crime and they can put the puzzle pieces together and may get the thief.

Sorry, don't mean to belittle anybody's loss from a theft. Even a relatively materially small theft feels like an invasion. But, yes, the point is not to let thefts or break-ins of any size go unreported. m
